Here are some things I ran into today that you all might be interested with. They range from funky alphabets to winter cycling.
+ The Crumpler ABCs

+ The Minneapolis Star Tribune had a nice little video feature of local people who choose to cycle to and from work each day. You can check it out here.

+ The Australian Centre for Visual Technologies has come out with this really awesome video editing software that allows you to take objects found in videos, and create realistic looking models of those objects by video tracing.

+ Found a cool article in the New York Times.
"Mrs. Steers’s phobia was so severe that she was virtually trapped on Staten Island for 13 years. She missed her brother’s wedding in Brooklyn. She sent her husband and two children off on family vacations without her. She had never seen her sister’s house at the Jersey Shore."

The phobia piece could actually apply to me. But my 'phobia' began as a dream in which Katie and I careened off a bridge...and then two days later I visited her in Charleston, with the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge.

Oh man the Tappen Zee bridge from the Gephyrophobiacs article is terrifying. I think that specific bridge, which I crossed on a road trip with my family as a child, was the one that began my minor fear of bridges.

My dad's the kind of jerk who noticed that I was scared and continually pretended he was going to lose control of the car the entire crossing...
